GAMING MATERIAL FOUND THIRTY MEN CONVICTED [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Saturday Following a raid on an alleged gaming house in Dixon Street, where police found a billiard table .fitted up for the purpose of playing and gambling, a rubber dice-shaker with dice, also cards and a croupier's stick and other paraphernalia, 30 men appeared in the Magistrate's Court this morning, mostly charged with being found on the premises. The bulk of the defendants were fined £2 and costs, but several with previous convictions were fined £o and costs, and one £3 10s. A charge against tho occupier of the premises and his assistant will brought on May 30.

HAMILTON CHARGES 10 MEN APPEAR IN COURT [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Saturday Tho 10 men who were arrested in promises at 7 Hood Street, Hamilton, on Friday niglit, appeared in tho Police Court before Mr. G. K. Sinclair, J.P., to-day. Nelson Joseph McKnight, plumber, aged .'55, was charged with being the occupier of the promises and allowing them to be used as a common gaming house at various times between April 10 and last night. The other men arrested wore Roderick Trovleaven, Keith Morris. Erin Pain, Norman Wallace, Nonnnn Davies, Hector Freeman Alfred Wilcox, Raymond Childs, Edwrtrd Pichard O'Brien and 'Colin Browne. They were charged with being on premises used as a commot; gaming house. All tho accused were remanded nnt-i! Monday. They were released on bail.
