WESLEY 81-CENTENARY
BROADCAST RECEPTION SERVICES IN ENGLAND Several of the John Wesley bi-een-tenarv services in England are to be broadcast and also will be electrically recorded for rebroadcast purposes. A feature of the celebrations is that they will not be confined to tho Methodist churches. On Tuesday afternoon in England at a service broadcast on the Northern Regional from York Minst,er, the Archbishop of York will preach on John Wesley. At evensong at St. Paul's Cathedral on Wednesday the Archbishop of Canterbury will also speak on the founder of Wesleyanism.
Those who listen in at 6.30 a.m. today will hear a broadcast of tho Sunday evening service in Wesley's Chapel conducted by the Rev. Dr. J. Scott Lidgett, C.H. Virtually every Methodist Church in England will hold, services to-morrow evening simultaneously with tho meeting at Wesley's Chapel, which will be the central celebration. The central service will be conducted by ex-presidents of the Methodist Conference and at 8.4,5 p.m. the president, Dr. Robert Bond, will read the passage from Wesley's journal and deliver an address. In Now Zealand the radio reception of this service will begin at 6.45 a.m. on Wednesday.
