APPROACHING 1000 RUNS HASSETT NEAREST RIVAL The Australian champion batsman, p. G. Bradman, seems certain to secure his 1000 runs in England before the end of May. His total runs to date are 731 for four innings, giving him an average of 182.75. His scores arc as follows: 258 v. A\ oi coster; 58 v. Oxford; 137 v. Cambridge; 278 v. M.C.C.
