TEMPERANCE WORK

A meeting of the Mount Eden Women's Christian Temperance Union was held last week, and was presided over by Mrs. Brocklehurst. The district president, Miss Reid, gave an interesting account of the Dominion convention held at Napier and the work of the various departments was also reviewed. It was stated that the progress made among young people was most encouraging. Afternoon tea was served.
