BROADCASTING GERMICIDES IMMUNITY FROM GAS Cities can be made safe from the dangers of poison gas, declares an English scientist, without the use of gas masks or shelters. Bv moans of his discovery, ho claims, men have remained unharmed for hours in an atmosphere which normally would have killed them in a few minutes. This claim was made this week by Professor Anthony, honorary professor of natural science and philosophy and holder of degrees in English botanic medicine. Professor Anthony has discovered that every substance, chemical or gas, has a wave-length of its own and can be transmitted on that wavelength. He says that a germicide can be broadcast which, in the event of a gas attack, will prevent deadly gas gangrene from destroying the lungs. "My discovery that substances bave their own wave-lengths will be invaluable in peace as well as war." added the professor. "For besides broadcasting death, we can send out antidotes to disease. We can also speed up the growth of crops."
