RETURN OF CYRIL PLUTO CONTEST NEXT MONDAY NIGHT Cyril Pluto, the popular Australian welterweight boxer, is displaying excellent form in gymnasium work-outs, where his c ever■ : fool!• work and lightning punch have doltgh ed the spectators. It is certain that ho willl be a difficult ohstaclo for Clarrie Marshall, of Gisborne, next Monday night, when they meet in ten three-minute rounds. Marshall is unperturbed, however, and in steady training. His consistent showing against Caltaux and his undoubted punching ability have favourably impressed hie many supporters anq, in spito of Pluto's wide experience and acknowledged ringcraft, it is expected that the match will be exciting and keenly contested. ..... The Pluto-MarshaU bout will be preceded by a special professional light-weight contest of six three-minute rounds between Johnny Dean and Bob McLachlan, of Auckland. Although hoth are comparatively new to the professional ranks, they are exceptionally keen, evenly matched, and eager to put up a good exhibition. Amateur bouts will open the programme, and promise a bright introduction to an excellent evening's entertainment.
