CALL TO TAURANGA
VERY REV. T. H. ROSEVEARE FAREWELL AT PAPATOETOE A congregational farewell to the Very Rev. T. H. Roseveare, minister of St. John's Presbyterian Church, PapatoetOe, and former moderator of tho General Assembly, was held this week in the church hall, which was filled to capacity. Mr. Roseveare has accepted a call to Tauranga and will be inducted in his new charge at St. Peter's Church this week. Tributes to the pastoral work of Mr. Roseveare, who has been associated with St, John's Church for almost 15 years, were expressed 'by several speakers, including tho Rev. E. Ji. Moore (Anglican)", the Rev. P. Cooke (Methodist), and the Rev. T. H. Eccersall (Baptist). The Rev. G. Budd, superintendent of the Presbyterian missions, the Rer, Gladstone Hughes, on behalf of the Dingwall Trust Board, Mr. W. Young, on behalf of the church board of management, and Mesdame9 Hunter and Thompson, representing the ladies' activities of the church, also spoke. Mr. J. McFarland, session clerk, who presided, presented Mr. and Mrs. Roseveare with a grandfather clock and a cheque On behalf of the church women, Airs. Hunter presented Mrs. Roseveare with a set of fish knives and servers. A number of instrumental and voeai items was given bv Mrs. R. Ross, Mrs. J. J. Valentine, Mrs. A. Rattray and Mr. G. Armour.
