PURCHASE OF PARK
SOCIETY SECURES OPTION APPEAL FOR FUNDS PLANNED [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Sunday After two years' negotiation with the Public Trustee, the Hamilton Beautifying Society has obtained an option over an area of ground at . Claudclands adjoining Jubilee Park. The purchase price has been fixed at £IO4O, and the option has been obtained for six weeks. Should the option be exercised, it is the intention of the society to form the area into a park as an adjunct to the area of bush adjoining. An appeal is being made to the Hamiltoh Borough Council and .to the public for funds with which to make the purchase.
