BOMB OUTRAGE

VERDICT OF MURDER LIDCOMBE INQUEST ENDS SYDNEY. April 27 The coroner who inquired into the Lidcombe bomb outrage to-day returned a verdict of murder by a person or persons unknown. He said suspicion was spread over a number of persons, but he was not prepared to mention anj'one. Alfred Ernest Smith, aged 53, and his wife. Mary Ann, aged 51, were killed when two bombs were thrown into the front room of their house at Lidcombe, a suburb of Sydney, early on the morning of January 28 last. Smith was the organiser of the Meat Workers" Union at the Homebush abattoirs. The other occupants of the house at the time of the outrage were two daughters and a son of Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and a girl friend of Miss Smith, their ages ranging from 11 years to 23 years. None of them was injured, but they suffered from severe shock.
