RACES HELD ON SATURDAY AUCKLAND CLUB'S EVENTS The Auckland Cycle Club opened its twelfth road racing season at Panmure on Saturday in heavy rain. The senior race over 20 miles resulted; —T. Blackinore, 7m 15s, 1: M H'ibburt, 2m ftOs, 2; K. vTish, lm 15s. ft. Tish made fastest time of s<lm 12s. Juniors: R. Gilmore. ftin 30s, 1; T. Sheehan, lm 15s. 2; F. Hunt, 2m 15s, 3. Sheehan gained fastest time in 18m 38s. LYNNDALE CLUB The Lynndale Amateur Cycle Club opened its road racing season in showery weather, the result of its race being:—V. D. Thomas, fim ftOs, 1; S. Nash, 7m, 2; G. Galley, lm 80s. ft. N. Harvey recorded fastest time TAKAPUNA CLUB ■The Takapuna Amateur Cycling Club held a race over- 13% miles, with the following result:—W. Kirker, 4m. 1; L. H. Pratt, 30s. 2; S. Brown, lm, ft. Pratt made fastest time of ilm 345. PAPATOETOE CLUB The Papatoetoe Amateur Athletic, and Cycling Club's races resulted: —Seniors. Ift miles: J. Edwards, 3m 30s, 1; W. MATAMATA CLUB'S OPENING The Matamata Amateur Cycling Club conducted its first road race of the season on Saturday over 20 miles. Twenty-two riders faced the starter. The results were;—T.
