SYCNEY, April 25 Giving a superb efchibition, the New Zealand pain team won the Australasian Gokl Cup polo tournament, beating the New South Wales Town and Country Whites in the final by 9 goals to 4> The Victory was decisive and was due primarily to the speed and handiness of the New Zealand ponies, which easily outpaced those of the Australians. , The New Zealanders took command of the game from the start, and in the opening period led by 2 goals to 0, After. this it was just a question ot by how much they could win. Although the home men played cleverly, they could not live with the pace of the opposition. K. Peake was easily the outstanding player on the field, and, although he received fine support, he was really responsible for his team's win. His display equalled anything ever seen lfi Australia- Mackenzie |?ave his customary sound display, while G. Peake was at the top of his form arid Secured two really brilliant goals. Nolan was not so prominent fts in piist matches. In the last few minutes his pony broke a fetlock. G. and R.
