BROADCAST SPELLING BEE LONDON, April 10 Women are better spellers than men if a spelling bee broadcast as a tesi by the British Broadcasting Corporation is any guide. I-»ach side was composed of represen* tatiyes from each of the British Broadcasting Corporation's seven regional stations. The women scored 24 point? and the men IS. The women's oddest mistake was the erroneous spelling ot "strait-laced."
