PORT CONGESTION

ALL BERTHS OCCUPIED NAUMBURG IN THE STREAM With 11 overseas snips in port wharf space at Auckland will be fully occupied to-day, and one ship, the Harn-burg-Amerika steamer Xaumburg. will move into the- stream this morning to give a berth to the Rangitajie. which is expected from Wellington at about seven o'clock. To make berthage space available at Prince's Wharf for the Canadian Australasian liner Niagara, which will arrive from Sydney about 7 a.m., the Union Company's vessels Kakapo and Waipiata have been berthed side bv side. At Western Wharf the tanker Shabonee is discharging petrol from San Francisco and. in addition, two cargo vessels are berthed at the wharf. They are the Union Company's steamer Waiotapu. which has a cargo of wheat to Government charter from Williamstown. \ ictoria. and the same company's vessel Kartigi. discharging general southern cargo. Only one of the overseas ships in port, the Shabonee. is expected to sail to-day. but the congestion will be considerably relieved to-morrow, when six large vessels. the Mahana. Port Hunter. Kaipara. Umpire Star. Loch Do a and Niagara, are expected to sail.
