DEFENCE OF AUSTRALIA
BRITISH ARMY GENERAL APPOINTMENT TO BE MADE (Received April 12, 0.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, April 12 It is announced that the Australian Federal Government is appointing a British Army officer, with the rank not lower than that of general, to the position of Inspector-General of the military defences of Australia. The now officer's duties will bo to inspect all military establishments and co-ordinate present activities.
