TRAVELLERS RETURN
PASSENGERS BY AWATEA Among the passengers who arrived at Auckland by the Awatea yesterday morning were Miss M. S. hiskard, who was with her father, Sir Geoffrey Whiskard. British High Commissioner in Australia. Miss Whiskard and her father intend spending about 10 days ■in the Dominion, alter which they will leave for England. Mrs. P. J. Larke, of Sydney, was another passenger who arrived yesterday. As the Awatea entered the port Mrs. Larke took a keen interest in the Kin press of Britain, which arn\ed at the same time, for. with her husband, she will join this vessel when it leaves for Suva on Good I" riday. An Auckland resident who has been on an extended tour abroad, during which she visited England and the United States of America, was Mrs. L. T. Tollemache, of Ranfurly Road, Kpsom, who returned by the Awatea. Mrs. A. C. Heather, of Awatea Road, Parneli, was another passenger. She returned from a trip to Sydney. A Sydnev girl, Miss C. Mealy, arrived in Auckland to visit her aunt, Mrs. G. Handson Abel, Victoria Avenue, Remuera. The latter intends taking her niece to Wairakei for the Easter vacation. Miss G. Field Porter, of Remeura, returned from a visit to Sydney.
