WOOL IN WAR-TIME
FACILITIES FOR STORAGE INQUIRIES BY BRITAIN LONDON, April S The British Government has approached prominent authorities in the wool industry to ascertain what facilities would be available for wool storage in the event of war. The Government aims at discovering where supplies are dispensable, as it considers that ports, especially those in eastern parts, would be subjected to intensive air bombardment. The inquiries were made informally and almost casually. It is believed that ample storage is available to meet any demands, and so far tliere is little foundation for reports that the Government is to make large purchases of wool.
