OVERSEAS LEAGUE
BRIDGE EVENING HELD FIRST FUNCTION OF SEASON The first of the open monthly bridge evenings of the Overseas League was held in the club rooms on Saturday night. Guests were welcomed by the convener, Mrs. A. E. French, and Mrs. Smart.
Supper was served in the dining room and library by the following committee ladies: —Mrs. Schmidt, Mrs. Kelly, Mrs. Smart, Mrs. Skinner and Miss Lane.
Prizewinners were: —Contract, Mrs. Schmidt; auction, highest, Mrs. J. A. C. Allum, Mr. J. A. C. Allum; hidden numbers, Mr. Pearce, Mrs. Parkes, Mrs. Neumegen. Among those present were: —Mrs. E.
