Negotiations are also in progress with a further 28 applicants, and when completed the whole of the £200,000 already authorised will have been allotted. In addition, there are a further 125 appli cations still to be dealt with. It is clear, therefore, the report adds, that a further loan will be needed if these applications are to be met, and provision made for any further applications that may come in. The committee. accordingly, recommends that authority should be granted to take the necessary steps to obtain sanction to the raising of a third loan for housing purpose*.
