ELECTION OF OFFICERS [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] OPOTIKI, Sunday The following officers were elected at the annual meeting of the Opotiki Hunt Club: —Patron, Mr. J. H. Reid; president, Mr. Scott Abbott; vicepresident, Mr. S. Maxwell; master, Mr. C. T. Clark; deputy-masters, Messrs. M. 13. Abbot, J. Bird and R. Hedley; committee, Messrs. A. Neilson, .T. T. Clark, L. Abbot, M. B. Abbot, E. Loonev, B. Hughes, L. Weston Burnside. F. J. Short, j. T. Tabb, C. Black, P Loonev, B. Mulhern, N. V. Hodgson, T. Clark, C. Smith; field secretary, Mr. T. Rusden; honorary surgeons, Drs. A. J. Brash and H. Mail; farriers, Messrs. Parkinson and Booth; auditor, Mr. W. Smith. The balance-sheet showed a loss on the year's working of £7O. It was decided to make an increase in membership to put the club on a bettor footing. Mr. F. Reid was appointed to the committee property-owners' representative.
