WAITOMO ANNUAL RETURNS [by telegraph—own con respondent] TE KUITI, Saturday The receipts of the Waitomo County Council for the year ended March 31, 19.38 amounted to £43,134, as compared with £39,396 for the previous year. Expenditure totalled against £4] .994, leaving n debit of £2337, which has been met out ot the amount carried forward last year. Rates collected amounted to £2O 489. nn increase of £1320 over last vear. The percentage of the current European rates collected was bl..i, being the same figure as for the previous vear. These figures were contained'in a preliminary report by tin clerk, Mr. J., 0 Bnen, at the monthly meeting.
