"INDIAN ROMANCE"

REVUE AT HIS MAJESTY'S STANLEY McKAY COMPANY A high standard of entertainment is maintained in the pleasing revue "Indian Romance," which was presented by Mr. Stanley McKay's "Gaieties" Vaudeville Revue Company for the first time at His Majesty's Theatre on Saturday. Apart from the quality of the acting, singing and dancing, an outstanding feature of the production was the stage setting and the colourful Indian song scena written and produced by George Greig. Led by the inimitable Australian comedian Joe Lawman the players gave performances which appealed to the audience for their versatility and constant attractiveness. Wehi Greig, of the popular Hilo Duo, made a strong impression, while favourites of the preceding show appeared in new and equally suitable parte. Among them were Les Diamondos. of the Folies Bergeres, Paris. Fredo Freres, Heather Wright, Leo Trenette and the Big Four. The "Gaieties" ballet was responsible for sprightly dancing and the singing in concerted numbers was most attractive. May Brooke's orchestra was also prominent for tuneful and brisk playing. "Indian Romance" will be presented for four nights only and the season is to include a matinee performance on Wednesday. There will be 110 revue on Good Friday. A new revue is to commence a season on Saturday.
