MILK LABORATORY
PROPOSAL BY-COUNCIL QUESTION OF FINANCE REPORT TO BE PREPARED The opinion that the time was opportune for the establishment of a laboratory by the Auckland Metropolitan MilkCouncil was expressed at the meeting of the council yesterday by Mr. N. V. Douglas. The funds were at the council's disposal he said. The chairman, Mr. I. J. Goldstine, agreed with the suggestion if the council could finance it. It would enable the council to do further work along the lines which had been followed ia the past. The matter of costs would have to be investigated thoroughly. The cost of establishing the laboratory would be about £I3OO and the running expenses about £IOOO per annum.
It was decided to ask the sub-com-mittee which had investigated the matter, on a previous occasion to consider it again and furnish detailed report.
