A CANON'S SECRET
The canon of a famous cathedral, a popular preacher, is the chief character in " Secret Information," by Robert Hichens. The canon, who has a secret, lives a kind of dual life, and the first intimation of it is given in a sermon to a barrister hearer in his congregation, inadvertently it is true, but the sequel is none the less dramatic on that account. A tense story, "Secret Information " grips the interest from the first page to the last.
