NURSING SERVICE

PROGRESS! AT BIRKENHEAD On her first visit to Birkenhead, Miss R. C. Wyatt, who was recently appointed by the Auckland Hospital Board as maternity nurse for the North Shore, was accompanied by the North Shore district nurse, Mrs. G. McDonald, of Takapnna. She was welcomed by the Mayoress of Birkenhead, Mrs. E. J. Osborne, president of tho Birkenhead Women's Association, Mrs. Eric Chambers, president of the local Plunket committee, and Mrs. C. W. Inwards. Full details of tho establishment of the maternity service on tho North Shoro were given by Miss Wyatt, after which the party was entertained at afternoon tea at tho home of Mrs._A. MclScilage.
