MODERN DEVELOPMENTS DEMONSTRATION TO-DAY TRAINING COLLEGE STUDENTS Many aspects of modern developments in thf physical education and recreational training of youth that have characterised the organisation of young people in England and in other European countries in the past year will be demonstrated in the display to be presented this afternoon by students of the Auckland Teachers' Training College. The display, which will commence at, the college grounds in Epsom Avenue at 2 o'clock, will be presented by 550 students. Tho- -.student teachers of Auckland have jbeen kept well informed of the latest, developments in physical education.^j||g|vrecreational training abroad, nnd. tliisir training is designed to equip theru to teach and demonstrate to the schoolchildren the principles which are responsible for the transformation oJ the youth of the older countries. The display this afternoon will present to the public these latest developments, and it is intended to create interestgenerally in physical fitness and recreational training as conducted at present overseas. The display will! be of a nature and scale new to the Dominion. It is -also hoped that as a result the teachers of the future will have the support and interest of the public in their efforts to build up and train pupils who will be a credit to their schools in physical fitness as well as in scholastic attainments. For this reason the public are invited to tho display, which will be free. .
