Silver Cloud impressed when she finished ahead of Town Section at the end of five furlongs in 1.5. King Bey and Bona Bay were companions over nine furlongs, King Rey finishing four lengths in front and covering the last mile in 1.46 J. The last five furlongs were run in 1.75. Valpeen made one faulty jump at tho brush fence, otherwise his display was excellent. Hot Dance was inclined to pull hard. Count Housillon (H. Master Musk was also schooled, but did not impress, hesitating at his fences.

TE RAPA ACTIVITIES

LUCIDUS JUMPS WELL SMART SPRINT BY MERIAL COMETARIUM WORKS SOUNDLY [hv telegraph—OWN correspondent] HAMILTON. Tuesday An attractive schooling essay over a round of the steeplechase country by Lucidus and a five-furlong trial on the plough by Merial were features of the work at To Rapa this morning, when the course proper, 30ft. out from the rails, and the plough, were available for galloping. A thick fog enveloped the course until a late hour and considerably delayed the commencement of proceedings, On the course proper, Abbey Lass (N. K. McKenzie) and Queen Lu (11. J. Fearn) were associated over five furlongs in 1.5 3-5. Green Label (R. J. Fearn) cleared right away from Princess Lu (W. M. Thomson) and an Acre filly (Giollop) over the concluding stages of five furlongs in 1.8. Green Label is on the improve and should show to advantage when called upon to race.
