NEW TOWER WAGGON A new tower waggon of the latest typo has been introduced by tho Auckland Transport Board for the overhaul of power cables in the city tramway system. Hydraulically operated by a mechanism which forces oil from a cylinder, the tower can be rapidly raised or lowered to enable work to be done quickly in times of heavy traffic. Although tiie hoisting gear was imported from England, ;the vehicle and equipment were assembled in Auckland. The interior is fitted with a bench and 1;ools for repair work.
