THE AUCKLAND SHOW
OPENING TO-MORROW WIDE RANGE OF ATTRACTIONS The Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Association's annual show opens at the Epsom Show Grounds to-morrow, and will continue on Saturday. The programme to be presented is extremely attractive, a feature being Roman chariot racing, the elimination heats of which will take place to-morrow, and the semi-firialfe and finals on Saturday. The Grand Parade will take place at 2 p.m. oil Saturday. Items on the programme will include pacers' races, trotters' races, horse jumping, bending races, sheep dog trials, poultry show, cattle show, dog show and woodchopping competitions. There will be a section for pedigree horses. The Auckland show is one of the premier exhibitions of pedigree stock in the Dominion. With so many of the larger breeders of New Zealand farming in the Auckland Province, some of the best strains of pedigree dairy cattle will be exhibited, and some of the most outstanding prize-winners at shows throughout the Dominion will be displayed. Great interest will be provided by the appearance of many of New Zealand's finest hunters in the jumping events, which havo always proved most popular wtih all classes of spectators.
