SLIP AT DEVONPORT
MAIN NORTH HIGHWAY DEVIATION of traffic A slip on Lake Head, at the intersection of Owens Road, Devonport, caused by the recent heavy rains, has resulted in a temporary deviation of traffic on the main north highway to Whangarei. Motorists must now pass along Victoria Road and reach Lake Road via Owens Road. Repairs were begun on Friday night, and are expected to be completed by Friday. The slip occurred near the gasworks, where the road passes over a. 40ft. gully, through which runs a small stream.
