FIRE AT ELLERSLIE
OUTBREAK IN BAKERY The woodwork of the roof of the bakery owned by Mr. A. Mackenzie, Main Highway, Ellerslie, was damaged by fire shortly after six o'clock last evening. ,
Mr. Mackenzie was at work in the bakehouse on the ground floor when the outbreak was discovered in the flour store overhead. Tho fire, which originated among some empty sacks, was suppressed without difficulty just prior to the-arrival of an engine from the Ellerslie fire station. The woodwork of the roof was charred over a fairly wide area.
