Kiliikihi.—Mrs. W. 11. Harre presided over a well attended meeting. It was decided that Mrs. E. Bainc should represent the institute at the conference in Hamilton A demonstration of wood fibre flower making was given by Mrs. E. Rnine. Competitions were won as follows:—Child's frock from not more than li yards of material, Miss 1. Temple, 1; Mrs. Baine, 2; apple jelly, Mrs. Lehndorf, 1; Mrs. Helwig, 2. Mrs. Bobinson was in charge of the sales table. Lichfield.—Mrs. G. G. Banger prosided over the monthly meeting of the institute. It was decided to hold ;> garden party at Mrs. Kirilock's residence to raise funds to send a dele* gate to Wellington for the conference in July. Mrs. Anderson, of Putariiru, gave an interesting demonstration of tatting. A competition arranged by Mrs. Banger was won by Mrs. Lynn The monthly competition, the best bloom in the garden, was won by Mrs. Burgess with Mrs. Gallagher second Mrs. Young and Mrs. Boyles wen* hostesses for the afternoon. East Tamaki. —Alter an interval on account of the holidays', the East Tamaki branch resumed its monthly meetings. Mrs. Allen presided. Dr. Gladys Bow ley, of Otahuhu, led a discussion on the McMillan Report and much enlightening information was gleaned by members. The competition for a thrift article was won by Mrs. Hill in the A section, and Miss Waito in section B. The hostesses ""vere Mrs. Davenport, Mrs. Waito, Misses A. and S. Waite.
