INMATE OF ROTO ROA THREE MONTHS' IMPRISONMENT "He is not amenable to discipline at all," said.Major P. G. Norman, superintendent of the inebriates' home on Roto Roa Island, when Hugh Jones, a seaman, aged 57, appeared in the Police Court before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M,, yesterday, charged with insubordination at the home. Major Norman said that accused had been sent out to cut thistles on Wednesday, but had spent the time fishing and spearing flounders. Adjutant Liddy said he saw accused wading in the sea. On one occasion the man had complained about his moat ration, and- used bad language in the dining room. "If ever a man had a chance this one did," 1 said the magistrate, who added that accused's actions were well known to him.
A sentence of three months' imprison ment was imposed.
