ROAD CONSTRUCTION
WAITOMO COUNTY WORK [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] TE KUITI. Friday Tenders of £785 for work on the Taumatamaire Road and £1345 for work on the Tumutiunu Read were accepted by the Waitomo County Council at its meeting to-day.
The Minister of Public Works, the Hon. R. bemple, wrote agreeing \o authorise the expenditure of £2500 upon the le Kuiti to Kopaki road with the council providing £IOO instead of i 1 orl S ll ially requested. The completed roacl. 8J miles long, will provide an all-weather metalled road from Te Kum to Kopaki, via Puketutu.
