VON LUCKNER'S CRUISE

DEPARTURE FOR AUCKLAND MAY ARRIVE THIS MONTH Although the leisurely nature of the cruise takes scant regard of dates* it is considered very probable that Count Felix von Luckner, in his ketch-rigged auxiliary yacht, Seeteufel, will reach Auckland from Samoa before the eud of this month. Private advice received in Auckland indicates that Count von Luckner was contemplating leaving Pago Pago for Auckland this week. Should he carry out this intention the prevailing northerly wind in the tropical. latitudes should result in the Seeteufel reaching port in less than a fortnight. Count von Luckner, who is accompanied by his wife, left Germany in April last year and, after calling at American ports, visited Tahiti before continuing his voyage to Apia, where he assisted last month in the search for the lost Samoan Clipper. The Seeteufel's equipment includes a wireless receiving and transmitting plant and sound film apparatus. She has a crew of 15 men.
