MINES AGAIN IDLE

DiSFUTE AT HUNTLY * WORKERS' DISAGREEMENT TRUCKERS' MOVE OPPOSED [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] HUNTLY, Thursday The Glen Afton and Mac Donald mines were idle again to-day following a stopwork meeting. The meeting was called to consider a resolution passed by the truckers yesterday resolving to adopt go-slow tactics during the slack period. The miners protested against the attitude of the truckers and refused to enter the mine this morning. It is understood that the management also would not permit the truckers to carry out the terms of their resolution. The men at both mines decided to remain idle until the position had been discussed at a mass meeting of miners to be held at Huntly on Saturday, and consequently there will be no work at the mines to-morrow. It is understood that the men intend to petition the Government, for assistance during the slack period.
