' ELECTION OF OFFICERS [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] DUNEDIN, Thursday The New Zealand Master Butchers' Association concluded its fifth annual conference this morning. It was decided that next year's conference should be held at Wanganui. The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mr. J. P. Carter (Palmerston North); vice-presidents, Mr. T. W. Stephenson (Canterbury), and Mr. G. Bennett (Wanganui); executive, Mr. W. J. Henderson ■ (Dunedki), Mr. K. Hughes (Christchurch), Mr. W. It. Shattock (South Auckland), Mr. E. F. Thwates (Palmerston North), Mr. F. Bristol (Wanganui). Mr. G. Trimlett (New Plymouth), Mr. T. Smellie (Gisborne), Mr. 1?. Johnston (Invercaruill), Mr. B. Harries (Hawke's Bay), Mr. P. Luxford (Wellington), Mr. \V. Yquglian (Auckland). A remit was carried urging that the Government should be approached with the view to having the cost of condemned meat, for which butchers received only a small return, placed on a sliding scale. \
