(Received January 28, 0.5 p.m.) British "Wireless RUGBY, Jan. 27 Mr. Humbert Wolfe, principal assistant Secretary to the Ministry of Labour, who more than once lias represented tho United Kingdom at international conferences under the League of Nations labour organisation, has been appointed deputy-secretary to the Ministry. Ho will succeed Mr. J. F. G. Price on the latter's retirement ft the end of March.
Mr. Wolfo has an international reputation as poet, essayist and critic.
