CALLIOPE QOCK CARNIVAL Interesting sport should bo witnessed at the carnival to bo held in Calliope Dock-this afternoon under the control of the Auckland Swimming Centre in connection with the Anniversary Day regatta. Excellent entries have ree'n received for the various 'events Among the leading swimmers who will take part are R. B. Frankham, W. Jarvis, A. Pascoe, Miss K. Grey and Miss V. Coulthurst. A lelay race between .the Army and tho Navy, a display by' the Milford Girls' Surf Life-saving Club and burlesque diving by the Ponsocby Club members will be added mractions.
