HAMILTON REGATTA
LARGE ENTRIES RECEIVED ROWING AND MOTOR-BOATS [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Friday High-class rowing, with large fields in each event, will be seen at the Hamilton Regatta, which is to be held to-morrow on the Waikato River at Hamilton. Sixty-seven crews will be competing,, compared with 5-1 last' year, and every race is well patronised. Other interesting items on the programme include dancing events under the control of the South Auckland Caledonian Society, Maori sougs, hakas arid poi dances, and St John Ambulance competitions, which have attracted more than 150 entrants. One of the most interesting rowing eventn should be the open maiden fours, which has drawn 14 main race, the senior fours, will be contested by six well-matched crews, and' should provide a close contest. Motor-boat racing, which is included on the programme, should prove of interest to spec tators. A display of aquaplaning will also b* given. I y. ■ ■' ■ '
