The most prominent competitors are A. Murray, T. S. Galloway (Auckland), A. J. Shaw, J. Mcintosh, B Smith (Wellington), A. Allbon (Masterton), A. Guy (New Zealand Golf Council), C. C. Clements, H. R. Blair (Cliristchurch), R. C. Butters (Miramar), A. Dyke (Napier), J. Lanibio (Gisborne), and E. S. Douglas (Dunedin).
