VICAR FAREWELLED
HENDERSON FUNCTION REV. J. H. CABLE'S DEPARTURE A large and representative meeting was hold in the supper room of the . Henderson Town Hall to bid farewell to the Rev. J. H. Cable, who is leaving the district after 11 years' work al St. Michael's Church. Mr. A. \V. Ihissey, vicar's* warden, presided. The Ven. Archdeacon G. C. MacMurrav referred to the high esteem in which Mr. Cable was held by the clergy of the diocese. Other sjieakers were Mr. H. Norcross, chairman of the Henderson Town Board, Mr. W. R. F. Leighton and Mr. A. Perris. They spoke in eloquent terms of the good work performed by Mr. Cable in a large and scattered parish. On behalf of the parishioners and the public? Mr. Bussey then presented him with a wallet of notes. Mr. Cable «'iw greeted with musical honours.
