MECHANISED CONVOY
VISIT TO HAMILTON [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Thursday The mechanised convoy of army trucks and vans, which is on its way from Wellington to Auckland, will visit Hamilton on Saturday. Members of tho 2nd Medium Battery of tho New Zealand Artillery, tinder the command of Major E. F. ClaytonGreene, the trench mortar and signalling sections, and the band of tho Ist Battalion, Waikato .Regiment, will meet the convoy on its approach to Hamilton. Thev will man tho trucks and vans, which will pass through Victoria Street at about five o'clock on Saturday, and will be inspected by tho Mayor, Air. J. R. Fow, and members of the borough council. A demonstration will be given in the Drill Hall at 7.130 p.m. by the band, a section of the battery, and tho motor cycle and trench mortar sections of the Ist Battalion.
