SAILING CHAMPIONSHIPS
VICTORY TO TAREE NEW ZEALAND COMPETITORS (Received January 28, 12.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, Jan. 27 /Another heat of the 18-footers' sailing race for the championship of the world was sailed to-day on the harbour, some boats having to shelter during the heavy storm. laroo (X.S.W.) won from the Queensland Wit Aherdare, with tho New Zealandor lrina third. 'laree. with 510 points, in spite of the fact that there is another heat on Saturday, cannot be by Aherdare, which has 254 points. Thus Tarec wins the championship. Irina has 78 points. The other New Zealanderß finished well in the rear, Riptide making the best showing.
