PROVINCIAL TOURNAMENT The Auckland Provincial Polo Association commenced ft three-day tourney at Matamata vesterdav to decide the winner of the southern section of the sonior and Junior competitions. The respective winners will play those of the northern section at Hamilton in two weeks' time. Results:— Provincial Cup: Cambridge neat Matamata hy 5 goals to 4. Provincial Junior Cup: Waihnu B heat Cambridge C by 7 goals to Is Matamata B beat Morrinsville C by « goals to 2; Morrinsville B beat Waihau C by 5 goals to 2. The senior lfame produced nrst-clsss polo. Matamata had the better of the first two chukkas, but Cambridge displayed superior stick work and positional play.
