Prices for lambs were down, but practically everything was sold. Quotations vpere:—Fatr ewes, 14s to 21s; twotooth wethers 22s to 235; aged ewes, 17s to 20s; shorn ewe lambs, 17s to 22s 3d; small and medium, 10s to 17s 3d; wether lambs, 14s 6d to 16s lOd; medium, 12s to 13s 8d; small, 8s to lis; black face lambs, 12s to 14s 6d; light fat cows, £3 3s to £3 10s; weaner pigs, 17s 6d.

Dalgety and Company, Limited, report that despite an absence of outside buyers and decidedly slow bidding ill places, a quit© satisfactory sale resulted. Prices compared more than favourably with other centres. Cattle and pigs were penned in 6mall numbers and realised late rates. Good prices were obtained for beef cattle, cow beef in particular being keenly sought after. Quotations:—Fat bullocks. £0 7s fid to £l3 7» 6d; fat cows, £6 10s to £9 10s: good boners, to £4 15s; others, £2 10s to £3 108; heavy potter bulls, £0 10s to £8 10s.
