RANDWICK WINNERS PANDAVA'S KICH PRIZE YOUNG CRUSADER IN. FORM J. T. JAMIESON'S SUCCESSES [from our own correspondent] ■ • t • SYDNEY, Dec. 31 G. Price had. excellent prospects of carrying off both two-year-old events at Randwidk on Boxing Day, but he •■had to he content with ope. As this was the December Stakes, of £ISOO, he took the. major- priee, with the Brazen colt, Pandava. Adios, who ..was an acceptor for the Nursery, Handicap, received a Blight, knock on the morning of the races and was .scratched.

Pandava jumped out two lengths clear when the barrier lifted and the initial advantage enabled him to win by a short neck from the much-improved Creditor, a gelding by John Buchan— Financial.

New Zealanders can claim some interest in Creditor through his dam, Financial. Bonheur de Pare, who finished a poor fourth, in a field of five, was bred in New Zealand. Kooba was sore and was not able to do his best. He finished a creditable third. The Summer Cup was won all the way by Young Crusader, who has specialised in events of a mile and five furlongs at R and wick. He clipped three-quarters of a second off the time record for Australia and New Zealand in the process. Unless he can clear to the front, he is not in any race E. Bartle rode him to perfection. Journal, a Caulfield Cup winner*;- followed home Young Crusader. Journal made up a good deal of leeway, but with records going by the board it was not surprising that he could not reach Young Crusader. The three-year-old Cathartes was a-hot favourite, but never a likely winner and he ran an indifferent third.

Long-delayed Success At long last, Country Party won his first race, leading practically all the way in the A.J.C. Handicap, of nine furlongs. J. T; Jamieson has had his -patience sorely tried by the Chief Ruler gelding and his win on -Monday was welcome. Glenora Boy had failed the stable in the opening event and Country Party was able to balance the budget. Technically a maiden, Country Party carried 8.11 in a good second class handicap field at Randwick and was weighted within 121b. of Prittle Prattle and lib. of Shakespeare.. Country Paf-ty was lucky to, beat Bobby, who had a bad run, while Kinsfolk (Posterity—Episode) and , Maranui (Limond —Rose Queen), ran fair races for third and fourth respectively. St. Constant won the Chisholm Handicap and among his victims was Jocular, owned by Mr. H. V. Cooper, whose brother, Mr. Alan Cooper, sold St. Constant to J. W. Cook for £l. Jocular was supported for a fortune and would have won nine times out of ten. Raced Away from Home

Bush Bee won at Caulfield on Monday in a field of 22 two-vear-qlds. She is owned and trained at Randwick, yet has not' been started once in Now South Wales. She. went to Melbourne in the spring and ran two firsts and a second and she won again on her second visit. She looks like adding the Stradbroke Stakes to her list, of successes down the Flemington straight. Glonora ijoy gave a courageous performance to win the Pace Welter at Tattersall's meeting yesterday at Randwick. He was under the whip at the turn to catch Jan, who came out and lay on him over the final furlong. This enabled Sedunum to push up on the rails.; Glenora Boy refused to be beaten, however, and won by half a head. Ho is a good. advertisement for Lord Warden, and, for J. T. Jamieson's training ability. Brown Baroness, after being absent from racing for soven monthsj-won the Carripgton; Stakes from barrier rise to winning post. The £IOOO stake brought ft good field of sprinters, but F. McGrath's charge beat them pointlessly. Sho had been prepared quietly and was carefully supported at long odds.
