ADDITIONS TO SCHOOL
WHANGAREI PROPOSALS MINISTER GIVES ASSURANCE [by telegraph—OWN* correspondent] "WHANGAREI, Tuesday Proposed additions to the Whangarei High School, including the provision of a new girls' building, were discussed by the Minister of Education, the Hon. P. Eraser, when he visited the school this morning before continuing his northern tour. Mr. Eraser gave an assurance that the architect of the Education Department would jyisit the school and discuss the design ■of the building with the board of governors. When the Minister visited Waipu he was asked that the scheme for school consolidation in the district, which has been delayed, should be carried out as early as possible. He promised to inquire into the reasons for the delay and to see that the matter was expedited.
