EIGHT LIVES LOST FRENCH MENTAL HOSPITAL PARIS, Dec. 26 At least eight lives were lost in a fire following Christmas celebrations at the Montredon mental hospital, near Lepuy, which has accommodation for 3000. The fire spread and panic reigned. Hundreds of patients and attendants, aided by firemen and Mobile Guards,'controlled and rescued the majority of the patients. Twelve escaped in the confusion.
