LABOUR PARTY
ELECTION OF OFFICERS CANBERRA, Nov. 30 Mr. J. Curtin has been re-elected Leader of the Federal Parliamentary Labour Party, and Mr. F. M. Forde deputy leader. The Lang faction suffered severe reverses at the election of officers. Mr. ,T. A. Beasley, leader of the Lang group in the last Parliament, and Mr. J. S. Roseve;ir were dropped from the executive. Mr. J. T. Lang's nominees for the Public Works Committee, Messrs. D. 0. Watkins, R. James and Rosevear were also defeated.
