TOWN CLERK SELECTED
VACANCY AT TAKAPUNA TAIHAPE OFFICER CHOSEN The appointment of Mr. E. J. Price, formerly town clerk of Taihape, to the position of town clerk of Takapuna, was made at a special meeting of the Takapuna Borough Council last night. Mr. Price will succeed Mr. S. S. M. Bish, who was appointed to the position on the retirement, of Mr. H. L. Bowden. Mr. Bish, who had previously been town clerk of Pukekolie, recently asked to bo relieved of his position owing to health reasons, and an invitation from the Pukekohe Borough Council to remain with them. Previous to his appointment to Taihape, Mr. Price served as town clerk of Huntly and assistant town clerk of Eastbourne, Wellington.
